Our Landowner Engagement Team

On the ground, to answer your questions

SONI is the System Operator for Northern Ireland. We bring electricity to every part of Northern Ireland, and plan ahead for future growth. A better energy supply means greater prosperity in the years ahead. Sometimes we need to develop the grid so it can connect to new sources of energy. To do that, new infrastructure has to be put in place and that can only happen when we work closely with local farmers, landowners and the community.

SONI recognises the importance of engaging with landowners as early and as often as possible during the Grid Development Process. That is why we have a dedicated landowner engagement team who are available to discuss the siting of new lines and cables, land access and compensation.

By planning ahead and developing the grid, SONI wants the Northern Ireland economy to grow and develop. We want to work with you to make that happen.
